Fans of the series will be happy to know that online lobbies have returned, making it easier to find and fight your friends online. WWE 2K20 has also enhanced MyPlayer characters and reworked daily match completion.

Here’s everything we know about the online features in WWE 2K20.

WWE 2K20 ONLINE LOBBIES

Players will be able to create their own lobby and select from a wide variety of match types and rules with up to six players.

Choose the arena, gender and restrictions to only allow default WWE Superstars (aka Fair Play).

These online lobbies will be private to your friends, but players will be able to open up a number of slots to the general public if they wish. This lobby allows for voice chat and the lobby creator can make decisions on the match, with every player being able to see how the match is selected in real-time.

Players can also quickly enter a lobby if they aren’t looking for anything in particular using the Quick Play selection. Selecting this will automatically put you into a ready-to-go match. Of course, you can also browse available lobbies and search by preference.

MyPLAYER UPDATE

Players can create a male and female MyPlayer as part of their MyCareer mode. These created characters can be used in Road to Glory and MyPlayer Towers. Each gender can have their own fighting style, experience pools, progression trees and creation parts.

In WWE 2K20, special creation parts unlocked through MyCareer, Road to Glory or Towers will be available in the general Create-a-Superstar mode, a first for the franchise. Players will also be able to export the appearance of their MyPlayer to the general character creation mode as well.

The Road to Glory and MyPLAYER Tower modes will now include female matches for the first time.

DAILY MATCH CHALLENGES UPDATE

The new Tonight’s Match feature in multiplayer mode gives players a new match every day that rotates through match types, rules, gender and arenas.

Like Tonight’s Match, the Road to Glory Featured Match of the day will have the same rotation but also includes potential Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way and 6-Man matches with either gender. These will go back and forth regularly between male and female matches, so both of your MyPLAYERs will get regular rotation and chances to gain experience

The 2K Originals post-launch content will also be included in Tonight’s Match, Road to Glory Featured Matches and MyPlayer Towers whether you purchased them or not. This is a great chance to try out some of the DLC before you buy it.

WWE 2K20 will release for PS4 and Xbox on October 20.
