The addictive Netflix series was given the green light by Netflix just days before Season 3 landed on screens in October 2021, so fans have been eagerly anticipating finding out what’s in store for Joe.

At the end of Season 3, Joe fled to Paris under the nickname Nick, on a quest to find his one true love, Marianne (Tati Gabrielle).

As the screen faded to black and as Joe walked off down the busy Parisian street, he said: “All I know, mon amour is I’ll search the world if I have to. I will find you,” and it looks like, Joe has made it all the way to London for Season 4.

Newsweek has everything you need to know about YOU Season 4, including the release date, cast, trailer and plot, so you won’t miss a thing.

When Is YOU Season 4 Out on Netflix?

There is good news for fans of YOU on Netflix.

The gripping psychological thriller is coming to screens earlier than previously announced by Netflix.

YOU Season 4, Part 1 will debut on Thursday, February 9, on Netflix, and Part 2 is scheduled to land on Thursday, March 9.

The release dates have been brought forward by 24 hours, much to the delight of YOU fans.

Who Is in the Cast of YOU Season 4?

Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg in YOU Season 4.

Tati Gabrielle will also reprise her role as Marianne, Joe’s love interest in the new series.

Joining Badgley is The White Lotus star Lukas Gage as Adam and EastEnders actress Tilly Keeper as Phoebe.

Charlotte Richie takes on the role of art gallery director Kate, who may or not may not be Joe’s new love interest.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Ritchie teased: “Well, I don’t know how much I can say about whether I’m the object of his affection or not.”

She continued: “It was a dream sequence… Or was it?! It’s an interesting one because it doesn’t start that way.

“They’re not into each other. It’s not like a sort of… that’s quite a later development in their story. But she’s basically extremely suspicious of him and really doesn’t like him at the beginning.”

Also starring in the series are Adam James, Ed Speleers, Amy Leigh Hickman, Sean Pertwee, Brad Alexander, Stephen Hagan, Aidan Cheng, Ben Wiggins and Ozioma Whenu.

For now, it is unknown if ghosts from Joe’s past such as Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), Beck (Elizabeth Lail) or Candace (Ambyr Childers) will make an appearance in the new series.

What Will Happen in YOU Season 4?

YOU Season 4 is set to pick up from the catastrophic events of Season 3, which saw Joe Goldberg set his entire life (and identity) up in flames, quite literally.

He killed his wife Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), set their family home on fire and fled to Paris, to pursue librarian Marienne Bellamy (Tati Gabrielle), who he believes to be his one true love.

Now it’s clear Season 4 will take place in London, but it remains unknown for now if Joe will be reunited with Marianne. However, it has been revealed he will be going by the name, of Professor Jonathan Moore.

Big things to note from Season 3 that could come into play in the new series are the fact his son Henry is still alive, and that Joe was clever enough to frame his own murder (by chopping off his toe and baking it inside a pie), so his name could be in headlines in the U.S.

However, what if Love was just as clever as Joe? Audiences never saw Love’s body actually being engulfed in flames… perhaps she managed to flee the burning house…

Speaking to Newsweek following the Season 3 finale, showrunner Sera Gamble teased a little of what fans can expect in Season 4.

She shared: “Putting him in Europe is exciting because a lot of people in Europe watch the show and the world has become smaller so it’s fun to expand his map and think about other possibilities.”

Is There a Trailer for YOU Season 4?

There is no official trailer yet, but Netflix has released a short teaser trailer and some first-look images.

The clip revealed all of the new faces who will come into contact with Joe/Professor Jonathan Moore in Season 4. Most importantly, the trailer revealed Marianne, who Joe followed to Paris, has also made her way to London and it’s expected the pair will cross paths.

In one of the images, Joe is sporting a beard and dressed in a tweed jacket. Behind him is Union Jack bunting and classic London red double-decker buses.

Revealing the first-look image on the official YOU Netflix Twitter account, the caption read: “Emotional baggage for Jonathan Moore is waiting at the claim.”

YOU Season 4 part 1 will premiere on February 9, 2023, with part 2 following on March 9 on Netflix. YOU seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix now.
